JUDGE FOR TASTING or STYLE

Starting with Milano Sake Challenge 2024, it will be possible for every judge to apply for and attend 'assestment' lectures. Starting from September 2023 to June 2024 (the time of the coming Challenge) we plan at least 4 of these days, any judge who wishes to apply can sign up for/attend the sessions and have his or her judging standards aligned with those of the competition.

We believe that the alignment of judging will bring even more quality and uniformity of voting in future editions of the Milano Sake Challenge. Judges who show up for the 'assestment' sessions will be considered qualified judges and their votes will have greater force than less trained judges.

In addition to this, those judges who have been sake sommeliers for less than a year will be "young judge" and have a "lighter" vote so that it is possible for them to participate in the challenge ad judge and thus increase the judge's sake expertise but their vote will be less weighted than that of more experienced judges.
