The 2026 judging session was successfully completed in June.

The award results up to the Platinum Award will be announced on the website by the end of July, while the announcement of the highest honor, the Magnifica Award, along with the awards ceremony, will be held in Milan on September 20th."

"MILANO SAKE CHALLENGE" is a sake competition that has been held in Milan, Italy since 2019. The aim is to highlight the potential and appeal of pairing with Italian cuisine, and to let Italians, whose awareness of Japanese sake has been growing over the past few years, learn about its diversity and depth, as well as the Japanese culture and customs surrounding sake.

The competition will feature judging in three categories: sake tasting session by Italian Sake Sommeliers, food pairing session with Italian cuisine, and design session by designer and fashion experts.
