"MILANO SAKE CHALLENGE" is a sake competition that has been held in Milan, Italy since 2019. The aim is to highlight the potential and appeal of pairing with Italian cuisine, and the other is let to Italian, whose awareness of Japanese sake has been growing over the past few years, learn about its diversity and depth, as well as the Japanese culture and customs surrounding sake.

The competition will feature judging in three categories: "sake tasting session" by Italian Sake Sommeliers, "food pairing session" with Italian ingredients and dishes by chefs and special food partners, and "design session" by well-known designers.

In addition, in response to the growing popularity of sake in Italy, we will be adding new categories for "shochu and awamori" from 2025. We look forward to the participation of many more sakaguras.
